About the Meibomian Gland Expressor
Now there are general two kinds of recommended treatments for lipid dysplasia dry eye. One is drug therapy, which includes artificial tears, local tear secretion promoting agents, local anti-mite drugs, antibacterials, glucocorticoids, immunosuppressants, and so on. The other kind of treatment is physical therapy, which includes wet room scopy, physical therapy, eyelid non-drug therapy,thermodynamic therapy, intense pulsed light therapy and so on.
Well, our DE200 Meibomian Gland Expressor apply the thermodynatic therapy. It uses MGD hot artery technology and sets the temperature at 40 degree to 43 degree, which can effectively melt abnormal blepharoester. At normal body temperature, abnormal mebomian esters in the meibomian glands are solid and they melts above 40 degree. The heating plate of the expressor melts blepharoester safely and effectively, avoiding heating and damaging to the surrounding tissue.
Under the condition of continuous warm temperature, moderate extrusion force can remove the silted meibomian ester in the meibomian gland and dredge the meibomian gland, which can flexibly adjust the intensity and duration of treatment.
Equipped with 2.5x magnifying glass, the whole process of blepharon extrusion can be seen. Through magnifying glass, the output and morphology of meibomian gland were directly observed. During operation, the temperature and duration of heating are accurately displayed on the LCD screen.
